The hotel’s prime location is one of its standout features, situated just a few minutes’ walk from major tourist attractions. Even with just one night’s stay, I found it incredibly convenient to explore the historic walled city the following day, making the most of my limited time.

Transportation options are plentiful and convenient. While walking is perfectly feasible, visitors can easily rent a charming tricycle bike for a more relaxed sightseeing experience, adding a touch of local flavor to their journey.

As a budget accommodation, the hotel offers basic amenities with some room for improvement. The rooms could benefit from updates and more thorough cleaning, but this aligns with the affordable pricing. The hotel’s greatest asset is undoubtedly its strategic position within Intramuros. Despite Manila’s characteristic hot and humid climate, I found it manageable to walk to all the major historical sites within the walled city. While the reception staff seemed somewhat limited in their tour arrangement capabilities, I successfully found an alternative solution by hiring a TukTuk near a museum, which took me on an extensive tour reaching as far as the prestigious Malacañan Palace area.

For travelers focusing on exploring Intramuros, this hotel proves to be an excellent choice. Its proximity to numerous points of interest makes it an ideal base for sightseeing. The hotel delivers impressive value for money with its array of amenities. The Wi-Fi connection is robust and reliable, perfect for staying connected or planning your itinerary. Entertainment options are varied with multiple TV channels available. The rooms are well-equipped with numerous electrical outlets for charging devices, a convenient mini-refrigerator for storing drinks and snacks, and even a blow-dryer for guest comfort. However, there’s room for improvement in the bathroom facilities – the addition of a pail and tabo (traditional Filipino washing implements) or a bidet would enhance the experience. A particularly appreciated service was the hotel’s willingness to store luggage after check-out, allowing us to continue exploring Intramuros and Ermita before heading to the airport. Given the overall positive experience and excellent location, I would definitely choose this hotel for future visits to Manila’s historic district.
