Department Order No. 159 signed by Frederick A. Vida, the Secretary of Justice. March 9, 2026

In view of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East resulting in the mass cancellation of outbound flights from the Philippines to the said region and other affected areas, all affected foreign nationals whose valid stay expired on 28 February 2026 onwards can legally remain in the Philippines until 01 April 2026 without payment of any fees, fines and penalties.

The Bureau of Immigration is hereby directed to implement this Department Order accordingly.
